Cooking (Ages 3 – 5)


After school cooking is not just about food, it is about growing into a chef that is independent, creative and organized. The class is hands-on and a great opportunity for the children to explore their senses, strengthen skills and encourage creative thinking. The children will not only get to whip up some yummy, delicious treats, but they will be exposed to math as well, while we incorporate fun games into the measuring lessons! Hands on activities such as whisking and grating will help develop manual dexterity.  We will talk about daily tools and ingredients and after completing our delicious project (and eating it too!) our chefs will work as a team to clean up shop! Each child will be assigned a job – from sweeping to washing dishes. The most important part is to have loads of fun and full bellies in the process!
